Welcome to the Recent Posts Page of the REACH Homeschool Co-op.

We are happy that you are visiting and hope to be of help in your home education journey. This blog opens here, on the most Recent Posts page. You will see the latest general announcements below this initial paragraph. Check out the other pages for detailed information about our co-op.  Open Enrollment has begun! Please email us at reachhomeschoolcoop@gmail.com if you have any questions.

2016-2017 School Yearbooks:
All enrolled families of the 2016-2017 school year should have received an email with ordering information. This is time sensitive due to a short timeline to receive a substantial discount. Payment is due to the yearbook coordinator immediately to preserve the discounted rate we are eligible for. If you did not receive an email, please contact administration for details. Thank you!

Enrollment is Open for Fall Semester 2017
Please see the Fall Semester tab for class descriptions and schedules. You will find links to enrollment forms on the Parents Page. Remember to send a quick email of your intent to enroll so that we can watch for your forms and track anticipated enrollment. Please note that the early registration deadline with discounted registration fee ends June 15.

New This Fall!
Elementary Literature, classes for 7th Grade and older  (including Apologetics and Introduction to Spanish).
Update on Math: We are happy to say that after initially posting the opportunity to use the services of a tutor, we had enough interest in math that the instructor is expanding on that. We will now have a Math Enrichment class for 7th grade and older which will be tailored to the students enrolled. For elementary students there is an option of 2 shorter classes which will use fun games and other strategies to assist them with mastering their basic math skills. (Private tutoring sessions can be scheduled with her between 9:30 and 10:00am.) All math offerings will need to be enrolled through and paid directly to the math instructor. See the Fall Semester tab for details.

Check out the schedule and descriptions under the semester tab to see all the offerings.

Wrapping up this last year:

Thank you everyone for all your handwork and dedication! Students, you did an amazing job. It was great seeing some examples of your work throughout the year as well as the play, music and Living History Museums.

Yearbook:
We are going to be able to relive some of the year via the school year book which is being finalized with pictures from the program. Please send ANY pictures for possible use in year book to Lori or the REACH email.

If you did not sign up for a year book while at the program, please email Lori or REACH to be put on the list. We will get cost and expected delivery date when everything is finalized. The cost will depend upon the number of copies ordered–the more ordered, the less it will be.  When the yearbooks are in we will have a signing party.

Yearbook General Pictures
Please remember to be taking pictures and sending them to Lori. If it is hard for you to take them, please request a "photographer" to Lori or the Advisory Council.

Parents, if you have been taking any pictures, please send them to Lori or the REACH email for possible use in the school year book.  We would rather have too many to weed out than not very many. Let's capture those memories!

Mark Your Calendars for May 6; 6pm

This year we are even more excited about our end of the year celebration which takes place on Saturday, May 6 at 6pm. This is a great opportunity for our homeschool students to be able to show some of their work to parents, grandparents and other special guests. Teachers will have some of the students' work on display from the different classes, in addition we have the Creative Arts & Drama classes performing a short play and musical selections. Back by popular demand (of the students themselves!) will be a Living History Museum from the elementary and middle school classes. Because of all the activities this year, we will be having hors d'oeuvres and snacks instead of a full potluck meal. Details for this evening will be coming out closer to time.

Remember this Tuesday, March 21 we will not meet due to spring break. We will see you back on March 28.

Make up School Pictures on April 4

If you missed the first opportunity for school pictures, you have one more chance! Jerry Kramer is returning on April 4 at 11:30 to catch the rest of students who missed in November and any new students who joined this semester. Remember, we wish to have everyones pictures for the school year book. You do not have to pay for that picture, but do have the option of ordering a variety of photographs for yourself if you want to.

Facebook Group

We are hoping that a new private Facebook group will be an easy and useful method for communication to and among currently enrolled families. If you are enrolled for the 2017 Spring Semester and are not a part of this yet, please search for Reach Page and request to be friends. From there you will be added to the private group "Enrolled REACH".
