Field Trip October 28:

We will be heading out to the Meier's Pumpkin Paradise on Friday, October 28 at 2:00pm. 
If you would like to join us, please sign up on the sheet at the administration table. A count must be turned in to Meirer's prior to the event. Cost: Determined by the number of things you do. (example: 4 rides for $6.00.) There are also pumpkins etc for purchase.

Road Construction Update as of October 1

Rainwater has damaged SW Indian Hills Road and it is now closed between SW 21st and SW 23rd streets due to a large void under the roadway. There is not an estimated date of repair so I would anticipate this will still be a barrier to the SW 29th to Indian Hills route to REACH 
for a time.

If you have been coming from the south on Indian Hills Road, you will need to continue up SW 29th Street to Auburn Road.  Turn right on SW 21st street heading east toward indian Hills Road. Turn left at  West Trail Road, before you reach the church (look for white picket fence and stone entrance to neighborhood),  then right on SW 19th Street  which takes you around the behind the church. Another right will get you back on SW Indian Hills to access the church from the Indian Hills parking lot.
You can also access Indian Hills Road from SW 10th street.

Please see the field trip paper on the administration table when you come in this week. We are getting some trips planned and are looking for your input.

Road Construction Update as of October 1

School Begins Tuesday, August 16!

All enrolled families should have received an email with helpful reminders and suggestions. If you did not get one, please let us know. We are looking forward to seeing everyone! Please see the road construction update below and allow yourself a little extra time.

Road Construction Update

The first phase of construction affecting the route to the church was the closure of 21st street from Urish to Indian Hills. The next phase has also closed the intersection of SW 21st Street and Indian Hills. This includes closing the 21st street parking lot entrance which leaves access to the church only from the Indian Hills entrance, north of the intersection. From 21st street west of the intersection, a little trip through the neighborhood behind the church will get you back to Indian Hills.

You will still be able to come from the south on Indian Hills Road. Before the intersection there is an access road to get to 21st Street. Use it to get past the church's closed 21st Street parking lot entrance, go west on 21st to West Trail Road, which is the first right hand turn, then right on SW 19th Street to the stop sign at Indian Hills Road. Turn right and you can access the church from the Indian Hills parking lot entrance.

If you are on 21st heading east toward Indian Hills, turn left at West Trail Road, before you get to the church. (look for a white picket fence with stone entrance headers) then right on SW 19th Street and right onto Indian Hills.

Thank you for your interest in REACH Homeschool Co-op and we hope that we can be of help to you in the future. We have a separate enrollment for each semester, so please check back at the end of the year for enrollment information for Spring Semester 2017.

Road Construction Update

This leaves access to the church only from the Indian Hills entrance. This is scheduled to begin on August 2.

Some may need to take a little detour through the neighborhood behind the church to get to the Indian Hills entrance.

If you are on Indian Hills coming from SW 29th street direction:

Before the intersection where Indian Hills meets 21st street there will be a temporary access road to the left off of Indian Hills. It will take you just past the church's closed 21st street parking lot entrance. You can then turn left onto 21st street. Take the first street to the right, West Trail Road, then right on SW 19th Street to the stop sign at Indian Hills Road. Turn right and you can access the church from the Indian Hills parking lot entrance.

If you are on 21st heading toward Indian Hills, turn left at West Trail Road, then right on SW 19th Street and right onto Indian Hills.

Parent Orientation Meeting Thursday, July 28

Mar your calendars for Thursday, July 28 at 7PM to attend the parent orientation meeting. You will receive helpful information for the upcoming year, further details on classes and have the opportunity to meet and converse with the teachers and other families.

CPR and Basic First Aid Class, July 17 at 1:00pm.

John Creager of Safety Training Solutions, LLC will be teaching a CPR and Basic First Aid class Sunday, July 17 at 1:00pm. The cost is $50 per person which he will collect at the time of the class. There is a limit of 30 students. If you would like to sign up for this course, due so by emailing reachhomeschoolcoop@gmail.com. There is no age limit on students but they need to be able to listen attentively for the length of the class.

Childcare will not be available during this instruction time.
