Welcome to the Recent Posts Page of the REACH Homeschool Co-op.

We are happy that you are visiting and hope to be of help in your home education journey. This blog opens here, on the most Recent Posts page. You will see the latest general announcements below this initial paragraph. Check out the other pages for detailed information about our co-op.  Open Enrollment has begun! Please email us at reachhomeschoolcoop@gmail.com if you have any questions.

New Host Location

We have been graciously hosted by Cornerstone Community Church for the last 5 years, but due to the expansion of their licensed day care program we can no longer fit.

Town and Country Christian Church at 4925 SW 29th Street (66614) has welcomed us with open arms and will be our new host site. They are easy to get to off of the highway and are right up SW 29th street by ACE Hardware. (Close to Fairlawn) Our mailbox is still active at Cornerstone Church, so any forms mailed there will continue to be collected, or you can mail them to REACH c/o Town and Country Church at the address above.

Parent Meeting August 7 at 6:30pm

We will have a parents only meeting Monday, August 7 at 6:30pm. Come check out our new location before school begins and meet some of the teachers. This meeting is not mandatory for attending REACH but will provide you with helpful information, material from teachers, and an opportunity to ask questions. Another key ingredient to this meeting is to fill some of the open volunteer spots needed for the first week of school. This will be your first chance at picking an Area of Parent Partnership. The more people that help, the less turns each one takes. Classroom signs will be posted and at the end of the meeting you can go on a self guided tour to locate the rooms your students will be using.  We are endeavoring to keep this a brief informational meeting for parents verses a meet and greet with students; no child care will be provided. Enrolled families will receive an email about this meeting. If you are enrolled and do not receive an email, please contact us at reachhomeschoolcoop@gmail.com. We are looking forward to seeing you!

Enrollment for Fall Semester 2017

Note: Enrollment is closed for KinderPrep through Third Grade and all Elementary History and Geography. We can take your information to be put on a waiting list.

Classes are filling up, remember that quick emails of intent to enroll, give us a heads up to watch for your paperwork and help us track student counts. Please see the Fall Semester tab for class descriptions and schedules. You will find links to enrollment forms on the Parents Page.  Please note that the early registration deadline with discounted registration fee ended and the family registration fee is $25.

Helpful Hints with Enrollment forms:
Your enrollment is not complete without all of the forms. This includes the Parent Contract signed by you and your students. Please see the Parent Page to access all of these forms. The mailing address is on the Enrollment form.

If you have any questions, please let us know. Notice the top of the Enrollment form asks you to please account for each student's time while they are on site. They do this by either selecting a class or Study Hall.  The study halls are free and give a productive option for students who may be on site at a time they have not chosen a class. Each class period offers a study hall option or class options. You will see bold boarders between each class period time frame and within those bold borders/times, the option of a class or classes or study hall with light, broken lines. Whichever you chose will fill that entire timeframe.
Because the Math Enrichment classes are enrolled with the tutor (email on Fall Semester tab) Math class does not show on the enrollment form. If you are enrolling in math, please write in "Math" on the time slot on the enrollment form to help us see the whole picture of your students schedule on this one piece of paper. Remember to pay the math tutor directly and not with other classes payable to REACH. Thank you. If you have any questions, please ask.

New This Fall!

Elementary Literature, classes for 7th Grade and older  (including Apologetics and Introduction to Spanish) If you have questions about high school credits, let us know.

Update on Math: We are happy to say that after initially posting the opportunity to use the services of a tutor, we had enough interest in math that the instructor is expanding on that. We will now have a Math Enrichment class for 7th grade and older which will be tailored to the students enrolled. For elementary students there is an option of 2 shorter classes which will use fun games and other strategies to assist them with mastering their basic math skills. (Private tutoring sessions can be scheduled with her between 9:30 and 10:00am.) All math offerings will need to be enrolled through and paid directly to the math instructor. See the Fall Semester tab for details.

Wrapping up this last year:

Thank you everyone for all your handwork and dedication! Students, you did an amazing job. It was great seeing some examples of your work throughout the year as well as the play, music and Living History Museums.

Yearbook:
We are going to be able to relive some of the year via the school year book which is being finalized with pictures from the program. Please send ANY pictures for possible use in year book to Lori or the REACH email.

If you did not sign up for a year book while at the program, please email Lori or REACH to be put on the list. We will get cost and expected delivery date when everything is finalized. The cost will depend upon the number of copies ordered–the more ordered, the less it will be.  When the yearbooks are in we will have a signing party.
